An important part of the logistics chain is the supply of orange juice, which will henceforth be transported from the port by battery electric 50-tonne trucks. Partly as a result, the blender will become one of the first fully <sub>CO2-<\/sub>neutral beverage factories in the world, according to the producer. To supply the battery electric 50-tonne trucks, innocent has partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/transportlogistiek.nl\/branche\/distributie\/elektrische-trekkers-van-50-ton-gaan-op-weg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">zero-emission transport company Breytner and joint venture partner H.N. Post &amp; Zonen.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innocent: CO<sub>2<\/sub> neutral in 2025<\/h3>\n<p>With the deployment of the electric 50-tonne trucks, innocent says it is the first company to deploy an entire fleet of electric 50-tonne trucks. The smoothie and juice producer wants to be CO<sub>2<\/sub> neutral by 2025, so it was important to organise its logistics and transport in a CO<sub>2<\/sub> neutral way wherever possible. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-45341bb5 elementor-blockquote--skin-boxed elementor-widget elementor-widget-blockquote\" data-id=\"45341bb5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"blockquote.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"elementor-blockquote\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-blockquote__content\">\n\t\t\t\t\"With our logistics partners, we searched for an optimal mix between battery pack, fast charging during orange juice unloading and payload capacity. The lightweight tanker trailers were built by French company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gmagyar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Magyar<\/a> and the fast chargers were supplied by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecotap.nl\/logistiek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ecotap<\/a>. Innocent is carrying out this logistics and sustainability development within the framework of the &#8216;Empowering Zero Emission Supply Chains&#8217; project co-funded by the Demonstration of Climate Technologies and Innovations 3 in Transport grant. The findings with the fleet of electric heavy trucks will be actively shared with the market.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">20 per cent shorter supply chain<\/h3>\n<p>The central location of the blender at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portofrotterdam.com\/nl\/vestigen\/vestigingsmogelijkheden\/rotterdam-food-hub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Food Hub in the Port of Rotterdam<\/a> also ensures that the distances for delivery of raw materials and distribution of the smoothies and juices are much shorter. This shortens the supply chain by 20 percent.
